I talked with my doctor today and we are set to begin our next IUI cycle at the end of February. We are following Dr. Kwak's recommendations except for the IVIG for now. He is also planning to push the dose of meds a bit. We'll see how much. With only one tube, I'm not too concerned. He always has to warn me though and I want to say, I get it, I get it. Yeah, I know there is a risk of multiples, but I'm sitting here after almost 6 years with nothing, so let's do it! I started the prednisone today and so soon I'll be puffy, just like this:
But it's all worth it. A little puffyface is okay. See that little guy up there, he's still kinda cute, right?
In other news, my friend called me last night and said she went to a psychic. She didn't tell the psychic anything about me, but he said that the "friend that she had been praying for" was finally going to get her baby this year. That friend is me! I'm super excited about that. I pray every day and I know He is listening.

Hello.
I found your blog on another person's blog that I follow.
I am also a new patient of Dr. Kwak-Kim's. I will be starting my first cycle with her soon too.
Best of luck to you
Gotta Love prednisone puffiness:) Its so funny I know a few girls from Dr.Kwaks office either form the yahoo immune boards/here on the blogs and I have never run into any of them at the office which is so crazy:) Think we all need to have a reunion someday....So any new news on the IVIG front?
Hi Kim! I'm excited to try everything that she recommended. I'm glad to finally have some answers about why things may not have worked in the past. Best of luck to you as well! :)
Kristi - I was telling another girl that I know about you. She is also a patient of Dr. Kwak's and went there often. You may have seen her in the office! Both of you are what convinced me to go see her - reading your blog and talking with her! I haven't called anyone yet, but I'm calling Dr. Kwak's soon to have them fax me an appeal letter so that we can get that whole process started. Then, I'll contact some of the places that you let me know about. Thanks again - and I'd love to meet other Dr. Kwak patients! :)
Hi ladies.
I don't mean to take over your blog Andrea but I wanted to write to Kristi in regards to her comment about not running into anyone at the office.
I was doing google research and found Kristi's blog before my first appt. with Dr. Kwak. When I went for one of my first few appts I saw you there. I thought you looked familiar and then realized it was from you blog. You were there having your IVIG and the date was either Oct 7 or Oct 22.
Andrea-maybe you and I will meet one day at the office!
Kim - do you have a blog? I love to read about what other people are doing!
Hi Andrea. I do. I am at

Hi Andrea:
It's Paula from Resolve! I am glad that you are going forward with another IUI with prednisone. I wish you lots of luck. By the way, did you ask about the Trental for the NK cells???
Paula
Hi Paula! So good to hear from you!!! I didn't ask about it yet, but I definitely will. I have to call Dr. Kwak's office to ask about an appeal. How are you? You must be pretty far along now!
Hello from "the other blog with the same name"!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Good luck with your next IUI! I know how the waiting feels and I am pulling for you!

Hi. How are things? Where are you with things? When do you see Dr. K next? I will be out there next week.
Hi Kim! I'm waiting to actually start my cycle, which should be today and then I go in for my first scan. I haven't posted lately because I don't have much going on. Hopefully that will soon change! Thanks for asking! I actually will not see Dr. Kwak again unless my insurance approves IVIG or I can get it paid for in another way. I'm still looking into it. Hopefully everything is going well for you! Is next week your 1st IVIG treatment?
Hi! Don't you hate waiting for your period in order to start with the madness? So frustrating.
Right now I am on prednisone. I will have blood work done next week to see if it is working. Hopefully prednisone is doing the trick and I won't have to do IVIG. I have a feeling that everyone ends up doing IVIG-so I am expecting to hear that I need it too.
