About Me
Andrea
I'm 34 years old and I've been married for 11 years. We've been TTC since the summer of 2005. I had a few chemical pregnancies and then decided to switch doctors because my doctor told me that there was nothing wrong and that sometimes it takes awhile. Started going to a new doctor who tried Clomid. Six cycles = nothing. He thought I might have endometriosis so we had laparoscopy and he got rid of what he could. We also found out that I had one blocked tube. I was on Lupron for 6 months, the most horrible 6 months. We had another procedure and it looked like the endo was staying away. He wanted to continue Clomid, I decided to go see an RE. Since then I've had 3 fresh IVF cycles, 1 frozen and 5 IUIs. With our IUIs, we tried Prednisone and finally saw a BFP, our first since trying all of this. We had BFPs on 2 of the 4 IUI cycles, both of which ended in chemical pregnancies. I joined a support group and after talking to quite a few people, decided to see Dr. Kwak-Kim in Chicago to see if I had immune issues preventing pregnancy. I do and so we tried IVIG, which is supposed to help, but so far with us, it hasn't. What's next? I'm not sure!
